Ever since I relocated to a new city, I’ve felt strangely disconnected from everything. I used to be super outgoing, but lately, social situations make me anxious and I avoid them altogether. It’s starting to affect my work and friendships. Could you recommend a good behavioral health approach or resource that might help me get back on track emotionally?

I went through something really similar when I moved a few years ago. At first, I thought it was just “adjustment nerves,” but that weird disconnection stuck around and slowly chipped away at my confidence. I started skipping hangouts and even small team lunches at work. What helped was understanding how much my mental habits were shaping my mood—behavioral health approaches like small routine shifts and talking it out made a big difference. I found this article super helpful back then: what is outpatient behavioral health . It breaks things down in a way that actually clicked for me.
