Got a DualSense last week and been testing it across my library. Some games like Spider-Man and Horizon recognize it perfectly, but others like older Ubisoft titles completely ignore it. Trying to figure out which ones actually need DS4Windows running versus which work fine with just Steam Input. Anyone got a solid list of games that work out of the box vs need the extra setup?

Yeah the inconsistency is real. Sony's first-party ports like Spider-Man and Horizon Zero Dawn have native DualSense support baked in, so they work flawlessly with button prompts and everything. But older Ubisoft games, especially pre-2020 stuff like Far Cry 3 or Assassin's Creed Rogue, just don't recognize PlayStation controllers at all without emulation. I went through the same thing when I switched from Xbox to PS5 controller last year. Ended up making a spreadsheet of what worked native vs what needed DS4Windows. Steam Input covers a lot but not everything, especially non-Steam launchers or older titles. For anything that ignores your controller, grab DS4Windows from https://ds4-windows.io/getting-started-with-ds4windows/ and set it to Xbox 360 emulation mode. That gets you 99% compatibility across the board. The setup guide walks you through hiding the original controller to avoid double input, which was my biggest headache at first.
